The Emån flows directly behind the property and, with its calm waters and unique atmosphere, creates a true sense of relaxation. The Emån is particularly well known in Sweden for its impressive nature, fishing opportunities and unspoilt landscape. At the same time, the house is wonderfully secluded in the forest – perfect for anyone looking for peace and relaxation.

The approximately 1,800 m² natural plot with mature trees offers many cosy places to retreat. A hammock between birch and pine trees invites you to relax, while the covered veranda quickly becomes a favourite spot. Thanks to a special mosquito-catching device, you can also sit outside comfortably on summer evenings and enjoy the tranquillity by the water – with hardly any disturbing mosquitoes.

Banvaktstuga offers approximately 70 m² of living space and accommodates up to four guests. On the ground floor, you will find the cosy living and dining area, the fully equipped kitchen and the modern bathroom. The converted attic serves as a spacious sleeping area.

The living area features plenty of wood, warm colours and a wood-burning stove, creating typical Swedish cosiness. A sofa, armchairs, a dining area and German television invite you to enjoy relaxed evenings. Wi-Fi is available.

The sleeping area in the attic has a large double bed measuring 180 × 200 cm as well as two single beds and is ideal for couples or small families. Through the windows, you can look directly into the treetops and towards the water.

The kitchen combines modern equipment with historic character. In addition to a ceramic hob, oven and fridge-freezer, the original cooking area from 1905 has been preserved as a special detail.

The modern bathroom has a shower with glass partition as well as a separate toilet and heated towel rail.

A particular highlight is the private rowing boat at the small jetty directly behind the house. The calm section of the Emån is perfect for relaxed boat trips, small adventures on the water or simply enjoying the nature of Småland from the river.

The surrounding area also offers many opportunities for excursions and activities. Oskarshamn, with its harbour, restaurants and shopping facilities, is within easy reach. Trips to Kalmar with its castle and old town or to Västervik on the archipelago coast are also worthwhile. Families enjoy visiting Astrid Lindgren’s World, while nature lovers can explore the many lakes, hiking trails and forests around Fliseryd.

Banvaktstuga anno 1905 is a non-smoking holiday home. One pet is welcome. The rowing boat is included. Bed linen and towel packages can be booked as an optional extra. Final cleaning is professionally provided. The security deposit is €150, and electricity is charged according to consumption at €0.45 per kWh.
