Haus Blankavik – Exclusive Holiday Home by the Sea with Boat in Småland
Welcome to Haus Blankavik, an exceptional holiday home in a beautiful coastal location in Småland. This high-quality property is situated on a natural peninsula directly by the Baltic Sea, surrounded by the Swedish archipelago. From the house and terrace, you can enjoy impressive panoramic views across the sea – a location th...Read moreat is truly special even by Swedish standards.
With around 140 m² of living space, Haus Blankavik accommodates up to 4 guests. It is particularly well suited to couples, anglers, boaters and anyone looking for a peaceful holiday directly by the sea.
The heart of the house is the spacious open-plan living and dining area with large windows overlooking the Baltic Sea. A wood-burning stove creates a cosy atmosphere on cooler days. A television with German channels and fast fibre-optic internet are also available.
The open-plan kitchen is extensively equipped and includes an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, separate drinks refrigerator, microwave and several coffee machines. A washing machine and dryer are also provided.
There are two sleeping areas with double beds for up to four guests. One is located in a separate bedroom, while the second is situated in the spacious open gallery on the upper floor. From here, you can also enjoy beautiful views towards the Baltic Sea. A special feature is the large roof window, which can be opened out to create a small window balcony.
On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with shower and double washbasin, as well as an additional toilet with washbasin. A further toilet with washbasin is located on the upper floor.
The true highlight of Haus Blankavik is its exceptional location directly in the archipelago. The house stands on a natural peninsula right by the water. From the terrace, you can look out across the Baltic Sea and the surrounding archipelago. A second small terrace is located even closer to the water – a wonderful place for your first coffee in the morning or a peaceful evening overlooking the sea.
Directly on the property, you also have access to a private jetty with a swimming ladder. From here, you can easily enter the water and swim directly from the holiday home. Especially on warm summer days, the jetty is a wonderful place for swimming, relaxing or simply sitting by the water.
Ducks and swans are regular visitors, and with a little luck you may even spot seals. The nearest houses are around 150 metres away and are barely noticeable from the waterside and terrace area. This allows you to enjoy plenty of peace and privacy despite having neighbours nearby.
Haus Blankavik offers excellent conditions for boaters, anglers and anyone who enjoys spending time on the water. Just a few steps from the holiday home is Solstadströms Marina, a small and charming harbour that is also owned by the owners of Haus Blankavik. The marina has been built in traditional Swedish timber style and blends harmoniously into the archipelago landscape.
From the house, terrace and property, the small harbour is hardly noticeable, so the peaceful atmosphere and open views across the Baltic Sea remain undisturbed.
A rowing boat belonging to the house is available free of charge during your stay. An outboard motor can be arranged on request in advance. This allows you to explore the bay and the surrounding archipelago directly from your holiday destination.
Haus Blankavik is particularly attractive for guests who would like to bring their own boat to Sweden. At the neighbouring marina, you can launch your boat using the existing slipway. A berth in the harbour can also be arranged by prior agreement. This means your own boat can remain just a few steps from the house, allowing you to head out on your own trips through the archipelago and along the Baltic coast whenever you wish.
The location is also especially attractive for anglers. Around Solstadström, the Baltic Sea meets the Marströmmen water system, where several lakes are connected before eventually flowing into the Baltic Sea. This creates a varied fishing area combining open sea, sheltered bays and inland waters. Different fishing regulations apply depending on the area, and a fishing permit may be required in some waters.
Haus Blankavik also offers excellent opportunities for swimming. In addition to several natural access points around the sheltered bay, the property has its own private jetty with a swimming ladder. This means you can take a spontaneous swim in the Baltic Sea without having to drive to a separate bathing area.
Blankaholm is located only around 3 kilometres away, a small coastal village with a harbour and shopping facilities. The surrounding area is ideal for exploring the typical landscape of forests, bays and archipelago islands on foot or from the water.
Around 35 kilometres away is Västervik, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Småland. Here you will find restaurants, cafés and shops. During the summer, various excursion boats also depart into the extensive archipelago, offering a great opportunity to discover even more of the unique island landscape along Sweden’s Baltic coast.
Vimmerby is also within easy reach at around 50 kilometres and makes a great destination for a day trip. The home of Astrid Lindgren, with Astrid Lindgren’s World and many well-known locations associated with her stories, offers a nice contrast to relaxing days by the sea.
Up to two dogs are welcome for an additional fee. Electricity, final cleaning, bed linen and towels are already included in the rental price.
The rowing boat is also included, while an outboard motor is available on request. A security deposit of €750 is required for the stay.
Haus Blankavik combines high-quality facilities with a truly exceptional location directly by the Baltic Sea. The panoramic views, the archipelago right outside the door, the private jetty with swimming ladder, the excellent swimming opportunities and, above all, the combination of holiday home, boat and neighbouring marina make this a very special place. Whether you are coming to Sweden for fishing, want to explore the archipelago by boat, bring your own boat or simply enjoy a high-quality and peaceful holiday by the sea, Haus Blankavik offers excellent conditions for an unforgettable stay.Read less
