And did you know that Michel from Lönneberga is not actually called Michel in Sweden? In the Swedish original, the famous little rascal is called Emil i Lönneberga. His name was changed to Michel for the German translation – and here in Lönneberga, you are right in the middle of the landscape that inspired his stories.

With around 76 m² of living space, Hus Michel accommodates up to 4 guests. A baby cot is also available for the youngest member of the family.

The cozy living room is modern yet welcoming. A fireplace creates a particularly warm atmosphere on cooler days, while the adjoining dining area provides plenty of space for family meals. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, including a filter coffee machine.

A Smart TV, Wi-Fi and a selection of DVDs provide entertainment. Guests can also use the internet to access their own streaming services. A selection of board games is available as well – perfect for family evenings or rainy days. For longer stays, the house also offers a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The parents' bedroom features a spacious 180 × 200 cm double bed. Children, however, have a very special little space of their own: stairs lead up to a cozy children's sleeping den with a 160 × 200 cm bed. The ceiling height is intentionally low and there is no normal standing height for adults. For children, this is exactly what makes the space so special – their own little hideaway and sleeping adventure.

Outside, Hus Michel offers plenty of room for family holidays. Children can play and explore in the lovely garden, where a swing and slackline provide additional fun. There is also a fire pit for cozy evenings outdoors. The terrace is another wonderful place to enjoy breakfast in the morning, an afternoon coffee or the long summer evenings of Småland.

The location is ideal for families who want to step into the world of Astrid Lindgren. Around Lönneberga and Vimmerby, you will find numerous places closely connected to her life and famous stories.

One of the highlights is Katthult, the well-known farm used as a filming location for the Emil/Michel stories. Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's hometown, is also within easy reach. Here you can learn more about the famous children's author and, of course, spend a day at Astrid Lindgren's World, where Pippi Longstocking, Emil, Ronja the Robber's Daughter, Karlsson-on-the-Roof and many other beloved characters come to life.

But there is much more to discover. Around Lönneberga you will find typical Småland scenery with deep forests, numerous lakes, small villages and traditional red Swedish houses. Swimming, hiking, cycling or simply exploring the countryside together provide plenty of opportunities for memorable family days.

For complete transparency, we would also like to mention one feature of the location: railway tracks run not far from the house. However, the line is very lightly used, with generally only one or two trains passing per day. They usually pass at times when many guests are out exploring the region anyway. In our experience, this does not disturb a stay at the house, but we would still like to mention it in advance.

Final cleaning and electricity are already included in the rental price. Bed linen can be booked optionally. A €200 security deposit is required for the stay. Dogs and other pets are not permitted at Hus Michel.
