As a classic older Swedish house, Hus Mida has retained much of its original charm. Please note that parts of the house feature lower ceiling heights of around two metres, adding to the authentic atmosphere and traditional character of the property.

The cosy living room is the heart of the house. A traditional fireplace creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially during cooler evenings. WiFi and a television are also available for your convenience.

The well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for a relaxing self-catering holiday. A dishwasher and ample space for family meals make everyday holiday life comfortable and easy.

The bathroom features a shower, while a washing machine and drying cabinet offer additional convenience for longer stays. Families with young children will appreciate the available baby cot and high chair.

Outside, a large garden invites guests to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The property is partially fenced and offers plenty of space for outdoor activities. A terrace, garden furniture and a charcoal grill create the perfect setting for long summer evenings in Småland.

One of Hus Mida’s greatest highlights is its exceptional natural setting. The property borders a Natura 2000 protected area, making it a wonderful destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. With a bit of luck, you may spot fallow deer, red deer or a variety of bird species directly from the garden. The surrounding forests are also home to foxes, owls, white-tailed eagles and even moose.

Lake Sinnern is just a short walk away and offers beautiful scenery, peaceful walks and relaxing moments by the water.

The central location in Småland makes Hus Mida an excellent base for exploring the region. Families enjoy visiting Astrid Lindgren’s World in Vimmerby, where the stories of Pippi Longstocking, Emil of Lönneberga and Ronja the Robber’s Daughter come to life. Several moose parks in the area also offer unforgettable encounters with Sweden’s most iconic animal.

The historic coastal city of Kalmar, with its famous castle, charming old town and waterfront restaurants, is perfect for a day trip. From Kalmar, you can easily reach the island of Öland, known for its long sandy beaches, windmills and picturesque countryside.

Another major advantage is the proximity to the Baltic coast. Within approximately 25 to 30 minutes, you can reach the beautiful archipelago areas of Småland, featuring small islands, scenic bays, beaches and traditional fishing villages.

Hus Mida is a non-smoking holiday home. Dogs are not allowed. Final cleaning is included. Bed linen and towels can be booked as an optional package. Electricity is charged according to consumption. A security deposit of €200 is required.
